As of today you can now upload your own world to use when you start a new terraria server. It's currently not very glamorous looking and there is no upload progress bar yet but it works.

Thanks goes to DeadInternal (For asking is the feature existed yet) and Junii (for leaving me bored for just enough time to get me to code).

I just thought I'd let you all know that I am in the process of updating the minecraft server and it should be online shortly. I also wanted to let you all know the changes currently being made.

New World
- We are again starting a new world ~~but we are using the old seed~~. Again if you would like to recover some of your items from the old world contact me and I will try to work something out.
Plugins Removed
- All iConomy related plugins have been removed. This includes iConomy and Chest Shop. These plugins have not been working and as far as I know have not been updated.
- The Kit plugin has been removed. It has not been working and has not been updated. As far as I know it has been abandoned.
Plugins Added
- Dynmap Mobs. This plugin will add mobs to the world map on the website.
- PVP Toggle. This plugin will allow you to toggle personal PVP on and off so that you may duke it out with your friends.

New Recommended Bukkit Build!

Bukkit has released a new build. That means the minecraft server will be updated shortly. Once the plugins for the server have been updated as well I will update the server.

Just a small note we are going to have to start a new world. For those of you who want to transfer your inventories I'll work something out with you once the server is updated.

I've decided to move our website off the dedicated box. During the move which should be starting soon the website will go down for a bit but everything else will stay online.

The benifits off this move will be great.

The website will have better update, speed, and reliability.

The dedicated box with have less load and more bandwidth, ram, and cpu available to it.

A personal update.

Hey guys and girls it's been about a month since I last made a post or really even talked to anyone and I wanted to explain myself, the situation I'm in and how that impacts the server.

First off, a little before Halloween we had a freak snow storm that knocked out power across a couple of states for almost a week. Sadly I, along with a million other people, missed the Guild Wars Halloween event. Right after all that I started my new full time job. That's right I'm now working a 40 hour work week. That means if something happens with the server chances are I wont be able to look at it till the weekend. I'm really going to be relying on you guys to post on the site of anything broken or behaving in ways it shouldn't.

There is some good news in all of this though, for the time being there is no more financial uncertainty when it comes to paying for the server. The server will be paid for regardless of the donations and ad revenue received.

Gaming Update 10/17

For all of you gamers out there the next month (and 3 days) is going to be a huge month of releases. In just 34 days Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Minecraft, Skyrim, and Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword plus many other titles are all being released. Each game is receiving major amounts of hype and are drawing huge pre-order crowds. Plus, no matter what platform you are looking to play on there will be a new game for you.

In the world of Minecraft, 1.9 seems to be drawing near. So far 4 pre-releases have been made available each containing new parts of 1.9. The update is currently being called the "Nether Update" as many of the changes are nether based. The update will include: Hardcore Mode, Item Repair, Nether Fortresses, New Nether Blocks, Animal Breeding, Biome modifications, 6 new mobs including NPC townspeople and the Enderdragon boss mob, New Music Disks, Blocking, Enchantments, many new mob drops, "The End" or enderman dimension, and many other updates. A current release date for 1.9 is unknown but Mojang hoped to have it out by October 18th so it will hopefully be showing up soon!

For those of you who enjoy Minecraft adventure maps, the joint project between The Voxel Box and CaptainSparklez, Deep Space Turtle Chase Part 1, was realeased this weekend. The map showcases the amazing work of The Voxel Box and is a good challenge based in a beautiful world. Although the map is by no means perfect I would recommend it for anyone who wants a good challenge or likes viewing amazing minecraft creations. Good news, the server has been updated and several plugins restored. I'll be updating the minecraft commands page so be sure to check that out if you have any questions about the plugins we run.

Updated plugins:

Dynmap - The plugin that generates the map on our website.
MCMMO
LWC
Kits Plugin - Although it's still not working right.
MCBans

Restored plugins:

Creative Gates - Create portals similar to the nether portal that will teleport you to other portals.
Spout - Server enhancement plugin. I'd recommend getting the Spoutcraft client.
DropChest - Create chests that pickup items dropped near them.

New plugins:

LogBlock - Replacement for BigBrother.

Minecraft server updated to 1.8.1

So after a few days of waiting Bukkit has finally released an update to support Minecraft 1.8.1. Mr Bubbles/Thorg23 and I have spent the day updating the server to the new version. Several plugins have been removed/disabled either because they are out of date or because they are conflicting with the server. Below is the list of plugins removed.

BigBrother - No longer supported and out-of-date. We are looking for a replacement for it.
Pheonix Terrarian Mod - Removed in favor the new world generation algorithm.
Spout - Currently conflicting with the server. Once it is updated it will be enabled again.
Creative Gates - Currently conflicting with the server. Once it is updated it will be enabled again.

At the moment nothing has been done yet in the server. There is a small shelter next to the spawn area you can use during the night if you haven't found a home yet. Like always I will have a final back up of the previous world up for download on the website for you guys to use however you want. Also Rumtum next time you and I are on at the same time I'll give you everything that was in your inventory.

When's the server going to update?

Already the questions are being asked about 1.8 and when the server will be updated to support it. Like always the server will be updated once bukkit releases a stable update. Once bukkit releases an update then the plugin authors will start releasing updates for thier plugins.

If you guys would like I can reset the server to vanilla minecraft so you can all still play. This will however turn off all plugins, mods, and anti-grief protection.

Transfers to the new world.

Here's the deal. All stuff like MCMMO stats will be transfered over to the new world for free. However if you would like your creations to be moved over to the new world I am asking that you do the following.

Mark your area with a region.
Donate $5 or more (You can click the Clan Pay button to the right.)
Let me know that you have donated
Tell me what the paypal email was you used to donate. (So I can confirm it.)
Tell me your minecraft username.

Once you have done all that I will do my best to transfer your region into the new world. In some cases I may not be able to transfer everything such as underground mines.

Donations

Even if you don't want your stuff transfered making a monthly donating would still be nice. It is extremly difficult to pay for this server.

Minecraft updates.

I've spent the last hour or so working on the minecraft server. I've updated several plugins, removed plugins which are out-of-date and may be conflicting with the server, added a few new plugins to enhance performance and ease of use, and fiddled with permission settings.

Specific changes made:

iConomy is now working again so everyone should have access to their real wallets and banks.
Removed Region Market as it was out-of-date and has yet to even be used.
Temporarly removed Blood Moon to test if it's the cause of some mobs not spawning.
Installed the Spout server plugin to improve server performance. There is a Spout client-side addon that will really enhance the game when you play on a server using the spout server plugin.
Tweaked WorldEdit and WorldGuard permissions. If you are still having problems creating a region let me know.

Just a quick announcement iConomy has suddenly decided to break. I'm not sure when I'll get around to fixing it but if anyone want's to do some research and help out the error that's being spit out is below.

[INFO] [iConomy] Database Error: java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:mysql:\\localhost:3306\iConomy

Interesting thing is that there is no database table called iConomy which makes me think the plugin isn't reading the config file and is instead using it's default settings.

I've got good news and/or bad news. It all depends on how you take it.

MCMA

First off MCMA has been updated to fix some of the permissions bugs that we have been having. That means those of you that applied to be a moderator will now actually be moderators.

Private Warp and Creative Gates

Second, Private Warp is still broken and I'm sick of waiting for it to be fixed. We seem to have bad luck with warp plugins, first multiple homes and now this. That being said I have decided to get rid of Private Warp in favor of another much more fun warp plugin called Creative Gates.

Creative Gates is a public gate system meaning anyone can access your gate so don't put it in a place you don't want someone to be. Creative Gates works exactly like the nether portal except the material of the gate determines what gates connect to each other.

Blood Moon

Finally, I have installed a blood moon plugin. If you have played Terraria then you know what this plugin is. Every night there is a chance for blood moons to rise. If a blood moon does rise the following things will occur.

As some of you already know we have made a number of changes to the server recently and have slowly worked over the past few days to squash any bugs we find. While there are still bugs I think things are going smooth enough where I'm not afraid to officially announce this and get a pile of greifers in the server.

Obviously the biggest change is that we have started a new world. Among that we have removed several plugins, added several new ones, and removed whitelisting.

New Plugins:

iConomy - A virtual money system in which players can use to buy and sell goods.
iConomy Chest Shop - Allows players to turn their chest into an automated shop for buying and selling goods.
Region Market - Allows players to buy and sell WorldGuard Regions.
WorldGuard Regions has been turned on to allow players to claim plots of land.

Buggy Plugins:

WorldGurd Regions - This may or may not be a bug, if it is it's not a but with WorldGuard but with our permission plugin, but there seems to be permission issues.
PrivateWarp - Again this seems to be a bug with the permissions plugin so at the moment PrivateWarp does nto work for anyone.

Do to an unforeseen circumstance we have decided to switch our voice server from Ventrilo to Teamspeak 3. The voice server is still public and always will be.

To connect to the server simply use enter the hostname teamspeak.nemesiscubed.com into the server connection dialog in Teamspeak 3.

Accidental account deletion.

I was cleaning out a few unused modules to reduce load on the web server and miss clicked on the delete button which resulted in several accounts being deleted including my own and several admins.

If your account was deleted email me at Deltaforce229@gmail.com with the following information.

Username
Password (Give me something temporary that you will change later)
Email (AOL or AIM emails will not work)

I'm sorry this happened however accidents happen.

Edit:

There are at least four accounts that were deleted however I don't know who they belong to. They are causing sql errors on the site. If one of these accounts is yours you have a week to email me before I permanently erase any data associated with the account to fix the errors.

This is a list of accounts that I know have been deleted but was able to restore because I knew who owned them. Those of you that are on this list will get an inactive account warning when you try to log in. To fix this just email me the info above.

Future of the minecraft server.

Whitelists are probably the best anti-griefing tool out there and while
they do work they are tedious and many players tend to turn away from
servers that have them.

One of the things that I find that I think is killing the minecraft server is whitelists. I hated having to add every single person to the whitelist just to let them into the server. I thought that changing the whitelist from getting in the server to just building in the server would solve a lot of the problems associated with whitelists however I was wrong.

Something I would like to try now is to completely remove whitelists from the server and use regions instead. Regions work similar to LWC, you find a region you want to build in and you claim it as your own. Once a region is claimed only you, and those you allow, will be able to alter or access anything inside that region.

In order to make this change proper we would have to start a new world. Similar to the last time we restarted the world I will take a final backup and offer it for anyone to download and use as they please.

So please let me know your opinions now because something has to be done before we lose the server altogether.

Gmod

Fixed the stargate addon. I had it improperly installed.
Copied over models, materials, and sounds into their respectable folders for downloading. Basically this means that any addon file set to be downloaded should download.

Minecraft

Updated MCMA
Updated several plugins including dynmap, mcmmo, lwc, and private warp.

Terraria

Updated the server to the latest version.

Garry's Mod has returned to Nemesis Cubed!

The minecraft server has been updated to support version 1.7.3. Interestingly enough this is bukkit build #1000. When we started up this server we we're using bukkit build #200. In a matter of months the bukkit team has really made huge amounts of progress.

New minecraft theme for the website.

So Artisteer 3 has been released and with it comes something I have been waiting on for a long time. PERCENTAGE SHEET WIDTHS! That means if you have a smaller screen resolution you don't have to scroll horizontally to see the entire website.

So that being said I am working on a new design for the Minecraft theme which will be replacing both the main theme on the website and the current Minecraft theme. Down the road I'll work on a Terraria theme and possible other themes for the games we play.

Anyway id like you're opinions on the theme before it goes live. Also the current colors may or may not be used I haven't decided on colors yet.

The server has been updated to support Minecraft version 1.7.2. As far as I know all the plugins should be working fine however if anything is broken please let me know.

Plugin changes:

Setting Changes:

* All players have access to TNT. (If this becomes a tool for griefing then it will be disabled again.)

* Turned on crop trample protection. Crops will no longer be destroyed if players or mobs walk on them.

Once again the minecraft server has been updated. As per request I have installed DropChest. I decided to go with DropChest instead of the Absorb Plugin because the Absorb Plugin was last built on Bukkit build 818 and the server is running build 935.
